Morningstar Investment Management has named Dan Kemp as its new chief investment officer (CIO) for EMEA region and Robin Johnson as head of portfolio management, EMEA.
Kemp and Johnson each have an investment career spanning nearly two decades.

Kemp will succeed Daniel Needham, who assumed the position of Morningstar Investment Management president and CIO in this January.
He will be heading the firm’s 20-member investment management team for EMEA, where he will have to work with advisers and institutions to help them offer investment solutions to investors. He will report to Needham.
Kemp joined Morningstar last year in the role of co-head of investment consulting and portfolio management for Morningstar Investment Management, EMEA.
Earlier, he also had a stint at investment consultancy partnership Albemarle Street Partners, which he co-founded.

By GlobalDataJohnson, who has been with Morningstar since 2007, will head Morningstar’s portfolio management team across EMEA. He will report to Kemp in his new capacity.
Johnson also serves as portfolio manager for sub-advisory relationships across Europe.
Prior to joining Morningstar, he worked at Mellon Global Investors and Bestinvest.
