US investment bank Morgan Stanley has hired Naureen Hassan as new chief digital officer for wealth management.
Hassan will oversee the strategy and marketing of digital tools and platforms serving the firm’s 16,000 financial advisors and 3.5 million clients.

Hassan joined Morgan Stanley from Charles Schwab & Co, where she was most recently executive vice president, investment services segments and platforms.
Hassan, who joined Charles Schwab in 2003, has also held roles including COO of Charles Schwab Bank and also managed Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and oversaw client experience and web and mobile channels.
Morgan Stanley chief operating officer Jim Rosenthal said: "Her record of successful innovation bringing exceptional digital resources to financial advisors and clients will sharpen our ability to compete for today’s high net worth individuals as well as those emerging in the next generation."
Morgan Stanley chief information officer for wealth management and investment management Chris Randazzo said: "We will now focus on developing new digital resources that can make our financial advisors more productive and enhance convenience and ease-of-use for clients, along with tracking financial performance in line with their goals."
