The fund aims to invest in companies deemed to have the ability to compound value, maintain competitive advantage, with an experienced management team and robust intangible assets, including strong brands and distribution networks.

Christian Derold, managing director and portfolio manager of the fund, said: "The primary goal of the fund is to compound our investor’s assets over time.

"By investing in high quality companies with an inherent economic robustness, we aim to deliver returns to investors during difficult and challenging market environments.

The fund’s strategy depends on identifying companies that have resilient top lines, good margins, and that are sustainable across cycles. Derold’s approach also requires a valuation of potential assets, to determine whether they justify an investment.
