Michael Lagopoulos, deputy chairman ultra high
net worth (UHNW) international at RBC Wealth Management, will
retire in the autumn after a 26-year stint with the Canadian
bank.

His resignation will become effective as of 31
October 2012.

Lagopoulos, who was also on the editorial
board of PBI, joined Royal Trust in 1986 as director of
finance, worked his way up the ranks at RBC to eventually become
deputy chairman, a position he has held since 2010.

 

Early career

He started his financial services career with
Deloitte & Touche, where he became a chartered accountant in
1982.
