The asset manager will appoint Eastspring director Johan Du Preez, who will join the group in July 2015, with plans to hand over the management of M&G Japan.

Subject to regulatory approval, Du Preez will take over management of the Japan fund from colleague Dean Cashman.

He will also take control of the M&G Japan smaller companies, which return to M&G on 1 September 2015, pending FCA approval.
