M&G Investments has named James Tomlins as co-manager of its £1.3 billion high yield corporate bond fund.
Tomlins has been deputy manager of the fund since December 2011 and has now been promoted to work alongside Stefan Isaacs.

In his new role, Tomlins will concentrate on stock selection on the fund alongside Stefan Isaacs, who will focus on duration strategy and regional asset allocation.
Jim Leaviss, head of retail fixed interest at M&G Investments, said that the fund had evolved into a global proposition, requiring greater investment resource to cover the larger investable universe.
Tomlins also manages the £117 million M&G European High Yield Bond fund, on which Isaacs is the deputy manager.
