Merrill Lynch has lured a team of three more financial advisers from Barclays’ US wealth and investment management unit, which managed about $750m in assets.

The three-person team includes Barry Schneider, Cris Bera and Chris Dewhurst. They have joined Merrill Lynch’s private banking & investment group in Houston.

Prior to joining Barclays, Schneider worked for Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in 1975.

Bera and Dewhurst also worked with Lehman Brothers prior to joining Barclays.

Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking & Investment Group comprises around 150 teams, focused exclusively on clients with around $10m or more in assets.
