German investment boutique Meriten Investment Management has appointed Thomas Herbert as its new chief investment officer with immediate effect.
Herbert will be responsible for overseeing the entire investment management division. He will report to the firm’s CEO Werner Taiber.

Most recently, Herbert served as head of fixed income credit investments at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in Abu Dhabi for eight years.
Prior to joining ADIA, he worked at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, supervising credit and fixed income research in London and Paris and also served as head of credit research at DZ Bank in Frankfurt.
Commenting on the appointment, Taiber said: "We are delighted to welcome Herbert at our company. His extensive professional experience with an international focus will be an asset to our team and will be instrumental in expanding our market position in Europe."
