Meriten Investment Management GmbH, BNY Mellon’s German based investment manager, has appointed Martin Theisinger as member of the General Management Board with responsibility for sales.
Theisinger, who has 30 years’ experience in the financial sector, joins from Oppenheim Capital Management, where he was Managing Director, in charge of client relations and business development. Prior to Oppenheim, Theisinger held senior roles at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Fortis Investments, Schroder Investment Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management (formerly known as J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management).

Theisinger who will report to Werner Taiber, Chief Executive Officer of Meriten Investment Management, will be based in Düsseldorf and is scheduled, subject to German financial regulatory authority BaFin’s approval, to start in January, 2014.
In his role, Theisinger will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the institutional channel with existing client portfolios as well as overseeing new business development and cross-selling opportunities working closely with BNY Mellon and its investment boutiques.
