Mattioli Woods has hired Michael Fryer as new consultant in a bid to expand its wealth offering in the North East England.
Based in Durham, Fryer will be responsible for offering services to clients and accountants in the surrounding areas.

Fryer has joined Mattioli Woods from Wesleyan Medical Sickness, where he served as a financial consultant, specialising in wealth management and retirement planning to hospital doctors, consultants and surgeons. He has 14 years of experience in the financial services sector.
Prior to this, Fryer has worked as an independent financial adviser with Northumbria Financial Management, advising clients including civil servants, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Murray Smith, director, said: "We have a strong client base in the North East and Michael’s appointment is a natural extension of our existing wealth management services. At a time of significant change in pension legislation, Michael will be providing local clients with meaningful, strategic guidance on all aspects of their pension scheme".
The move follows flotation of a newly incorporated property investment company for the Group on the London Stock Exchange in March.
