The fund will invest 80% of its net assets in bonds and other debt securities of Asian corporate and sovereign issuers in both local and hard currencies.
Designed to offer investors a lower risk and lower volatility profile than our other Funds, the new strategy will invest in income-generating securities across currencies and the capital structure.
It seeks to generate total return via credit, currencies and interest rates through a bottom-up investment approach.
Kong said: "Investors’ fixed income portfolios tend to be underinvested in Asia since widely used global debt benchmarks generally allocate to the most indebted countries as opposed to the most creditworthy.
