Matterley, Charles Stanley’s fund division, has appointed Peter Geikie-Cobb as its new managing director.

Prior to this, Geikie-Cobb worked at Thames River Capital, where he served from 2003, and was a partner and co-managed the Macro Global Bond Product.

In his new role, Geikie-Cobb will be responsible for managing the four funds presently operated by the unit which include the Regular High Income bond fund and the Equity, International Growth and UK & International Growth funds.

Geikie-Cobb, along with Jeremy Palliser, will also manage the company’s FP Matterley Bond Opportunities Fund which is expected to be launched in the second quarter of this year.

The new fund, targeting a total return, will invest in global government bonds, currencies, corporate credit indices, futures and options, volatility, yield curve strategies, relative value/market strategies and multi-asset fixed income in liquid investments.
