In his new role, Smith will work across the distribution networks of Baring Asset Management, Babson Capital and OFI Global Asset Management.
Based in London, Smith will have a reporting line into all three businesses.
Most Recently, Smith served as the global head of official institutions at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, where he managed the firm’s relationship with various institutional clients, including central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
Previously, Smith held positions with BNP Paribas Group, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Greenwell Montagu.
