UAE-based lender Mashreq has named Rajesh Malkani as its new head of private banking and wealth management arm.

Malkani has an experience of over two decades in private banking and wealth management across Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Prior to joining Mashreq, he served in several senior management roles in private banking at Standard Chartered and BNP Paribas.

Commenting on his new role, Malkani said: "It is my priority to leverage Mashreq Bank’s universal banking capabilities across retail, business, treasury services, corporate banking and wealth management thereby creating a compelling value proposition for our clients."
