Australian superannuation fund AvSuper plans to invest in Martin Currie Investment Management’s flagship global emerging markets (GEMs) strategy.
The Martin Currie team has garnered significant institutional support globally in the past few months with five mandate wins in Australia and a recent appointment by Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (PA SERs).

AvSuper is dedicated to the aviation and aviation safety industries. The mandate will be managed by Kim Catechis, Martin Currie’s head of emerging markets and investment manager, Andrew Ness.
Martin Currie has an experienced global emerging markets team of six with over 100 years’ combined experience of investing in GEMs. The team currently manages a total of over US$802 million of assets, with its recent win from PA SERs taking assets over US$1 billion.
