Specialist equity manager Martin Currie has hired Damian Taylor as investment manager in the Asian Equities team.

Based in Edinburgh, Taylor will join at the beginning of July and will report to Andrew Graham, investment director, head of Asia.

With 13 years’ investment experience, Taylor is an experienced additional resource to this team. Before joining Martin Currie, he was the chief financial officer for a specialist IT business. Prior to that, Taylor was investment director at the private equity business Boundary Capital. He began his investment career at Goldman Sachs before moving to Morgan Stanley.
