Guernsey based Marlborough International Management has launched Giles Hargreave’s GBP640 million special situations fund to offshore feeders, thereby providing access to the strategy.

The feeder fund has returned 82% over three years to 31 May 2013, ahead of the IMA UK Smaller Company sector average return of 64.9%, reported Morningstar.

Assets under management have doubled from GBP224 million in November 2010 to GBP640 million in 2013.

Hargreave has repositioned the fund in response to the asset growth which is currently 33% in mid-cap names, up from 10% two years ago.

Marlborough has also launched a feeder fund for its High Yield Fixed Interest fund, co-managed by Paul Reed and Mark Sanders.

Managing director of Marlborough International Management, John Heap, said: "Both funds have a loyal following among UK investors and the Guernsey feeder funds now provide offshore investors with the opportunity to join them."

Both feeder funds have an initial charge of 5.5% and an AMC of 1.1%.
