Manulife Financial has appointed Donna Cotter as vice president and head of its wealth management in Asia.
In her new role, Cotter will report to Philip Hampden-Smith, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Asia.

Since March 2011, Cotter has been a member of the wealth management team in Asia, where she was responsible for regional strategy and product development. She joined Manulife Asia’s corporate development team based in Hong Kong in January 2010.
Prior to her move to Asia, since 2003 Cotter had held various roles in Manulife’s Canadian division, including in pension operations, Manulife Securities and Individual Wealth Management.
Manulife’s wealth management team in Asia is responsible for setting direction, goals and strategic plans for the region and also manage and develop regional mutual fund platforms and oversee marketing strategies for the wealth management business across the region.
