Manulife Asset Management has hired Neil Summers to newly created role of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) client service and sales support head.

Summers will form a unit to service and support institutional and wholesale clients across the EMEA region.

He will be based in London, and will report to global distribution services head Lauren Fleming.

Summers joined Manulife from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he most recently served as head of client service – EMEA.

Summers, who has more than two decades of experience in asset management, previously served at Deutsche Asset Management.
