Commenting on the Schanker’s appointment, Burl said: “His considerable experience and expertise in the US market will be of great value to the firm and his appointment reflects our continued focus on serving private wealth clients in the region, as well as supporting the firm’s overall operations and sales in the US.”
He most recently served as head of sales at SkyBridge Capital. Prior to that, he worked at Citigroup Alternative Investments, and at Salomon Smith Barney/Citi Smith Barney.
The latest appointment bolsters the firm’s efforts in developing its US business. In the last two years, the company expanded presence in the region through the purchase of US-based firms Numeric Investors, Silvermine Capital Management and Pine Grove.
“Man Group’s comprehensive and diverse product and client solutions offering differentiates the firm and makes this a compelling opportunity for me. I look forward to working with Eric and his team in continuing to serve and develop the firm’s US wealth client base,” Schanker stated.
