London-based Mako Global Investors is repotedly planning to launch a new European equities-focused hedge fund in the fourth quarter of this year with the support from former Marble Bar Asset Management portfolio manager Christian Thum.
Known as CT Invest, the hedge fund aims on rising and falling share prices of pan-European cyclical and industrial companies and those in German-speaking countries, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

CT Invest seeks to generate a return of 15%, according to the marketing material of the fund obtained by Reuters.
The publication said that the size of the fund and the launch date has not been disclosed.
However, the fund is expected to have a capacity to manage nearly $1 billion, the source said.
Thum had been managing the strategy with partners’ money since joining Mako Group last year. He joined Mako Group from Marble Bar Asset Management.
