According to Financial Standard, these funds will permit diverse access to Australian-based asset classes including cash, listed property and equities to investors.
The launch follows changes to regulations that expand the array of ‘complying investments’ that can be offered.
Commenting on the launch MSI head Jason King said the success of the first two SIV funds prompted regulation changes to allow a third in order to cater for a broader investment spectrum.
"An expanded range of complying investments is good news for migrant investors and better enables them to take full advantage of Australia’s world-class expertise in funds management. It also enhances an already significant opportunity to grow Australia’s investment capital," Financial Standard quoted him as saying.
