Macquarie Investment Management (MIM), part of Macquarie Group’s asset management unit, has hired David Derger as its new head of Nordic sales.
In the new role, Derger will be responsible for expanding Macquarie’s relationships in the region, as well as introducing Nordic institutional and professional investors to Macquarie’s investment capabilities.

Derger most recently served at HSBC Global Asset Management, where he held the role of a sales manager for the Nordic region for five years.
In his 13-year tenure in the asset management sector, he also worked as an investment consultant at Wassum for about five years.
MIM EMEA head of distribution Steve Haswell said: "David will be an excellent addition to our growing distribution team. His experience in both the consulting and asset management areas of the Nordic region will be extremely beneficial to MIM and to our Nordic clients."
