Lyxor Asset Management, a fully-owned asset manager of Societe Generale Group, has named Andrew Au as its new managing director and head of Asia ex-Japan.

In his new role, Au will oversee the development of the firm’s platform and products with primary focus on Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

Based in Hong Kong, he will create cross-selling opportunities between Lyxor and the global markets team at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) in the region.

As the head of Asia ex-Japan, Au will replace Gilbert Tse, who has departed from Lyxor to lead a financial technology start-up.

Au will be reporting to Lyxor head of international development Pierre Gil and locally to Frank Drouet, head of global markets for Asia Pacific at SG CIB.
