Lyxor Asset Management has named Alexandre Werno as new executive vice general manager of the Fortune SG Fund Management Company.

Based in Shanghai, Werno will be responsible for the supervision of mandate and institutional sales as well as of risk control in his new role.

Previously, Werno has joined Fortune SG as a senior adviser to the general manager in May 2013.

Previously, Werno worked at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking’s global markets division where he was responsible for institutional business development in China since 2007.

Additionally, Fortune SG is planning to develop new sectorial equity funds, index linked products, cross-border innovative solutions as well as alternative businesses on hedge funds and alternative managed accounts this year.

Fortune SG is a joint venture between Fortune Investment (Baosteel Group) and Societe Generale Group affiliate Lyxor Asset Management. It currently has branches in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and a subsidiary in Hong Kong with RQFII capabilities.
