Lombard International executive chairman John Hillman said: "New York City is a financial center for the U.S. and is home to one of the largest concentrations of advisors to high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions in the country.
"The opening of this new office was a strategic initiative to cement our stake in the market, as we seek to increase our proximity to both new and existing clients and their advisors."
In September 2015, Lombard International launched its life insurance-based wealth management business following the integration of Luxembourg’s Lombard International Assurance with US-based Philadelphia Financial.
Since then, the firm has made various efforts to bolster its presence, and make senior hirings in its US team.
