Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Michael Marks as its new COO, effective from the end of the June.

Marks will oversee the company’s strategic change management, investment operations, IT and the data management office.
In the new role, Marks will report to LGIM CEO Mark Zinkula. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
"Michael brings extensive commercial and operational experience in building and running innovative businesses. His client focus, high energy and entrepreneurial drive will make him an excellent addition to LGIM," Zinkula said.
Previously, Marks served BlackRock for 28 years, where he was responsible for building various successful businesses.
