Asset management firm Lazard has appointed Christopher Mulshine as a managing director in Private Capital Advisory, effective immediately.

Mulshine, who will be based in New York, is joining Lazard from Credit Suisse Securities, where was head of capital services in the Americas.

From 2005 – 2008, he was with UBS Securities as deputy head of capital introductions in the Americas. Earlier in his career he served in investment management positions at Forester Capital, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

William Riddle, head of Lazard’s Private Capital Advisory Group, said: “Chris brings more than 15 years of experience as a trusted advisor to institutional investors and fund managers. His insight and relationships will further bolster our expertise in credit and debt strategies as we increase our capabilities in this area to meet client demand.”

Lazard's Private Capital Advisory group manages the raising of capital for private equity and real estate firms. The group, which acts as advisor and placement agent, focuses on advice and execution for buyout, mezzanine, venture, distressed/turnaround and hedge funds.
