Law firm Stephenson Harwood has launched a new private wealth practice in London.

The firm has hired James Quarmby to head the new private wealth team in London, according to The Lawyer.

Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Quarmby served as head of international and business taxation team at Thomas Eggar.

Additionally, the firm has also appointed Vivienne Wild as a private client senior associate from Schofield Sweeney to expand the new practice.

The firm is expecting to hire two more junior associates within the next six months.
