UK-based law firm Speechly Bircham has merged with Charles Russell to create a new firm with combined revenues of £135m.

Known as Charles Russell Speechlys, the combined firm will consist of about 170 partners and 500 lawyers.

The new firm will provide advisory, transactional, regulatory and litigation & dispute resolution services to major corporates, privately-owned businesses and wealthy individuals.

The merger is aimed at boosting the firm’s ability to advise wealthy individuals, family offices, trust companies, private banks and wealth managers and large, privately held businesses seamlessly.

The firm already has offices in some of Europe’s and the Gulf’s main wealth and business centers as well as long-standing relationships across the US, Africa and the Caribbean.
