Chicago based LaSalle Investment Management has appointed Andy Watson as managing director for Continental Europe.

Watson with over 23 years of experience in the Continental European real estate business has worked in Berlin, Frankfurt and Paris. He will report to Simon Marrison, CEO Europe.

In his new role, Watson will be responsible for business development and progressing growth initiatives across the region, while continuing LaSalle’s driving synergies across its European platform.

He will also manage LaSalle’s activities across Continental Europe, including oversight of the German business.

Since he joined the firm in 2004, Watson has been a member of LaSalle’s senior management team. In January 2010, he was appointed head of core funds for Continental Europe and promoted to president of LaSalle France in November 2011.

Marrison said: "Andy has extensive experience across the Continent and in his new role at LaSalle will focus on developing our business in the main markets, including France and Germany, while also exploiting potential growth in Southern and Central Europe."
