KPMG International has confirmed the appointment of John Veihmeyer as its new global chairman, effective immediately.

In his new role, Veihmeyer will be responsible for expanding the firm’s global reputation for quality and professionalism.

Since 2010, Veihmeyer has served as chairman and CEO of KPMG’s firm in the US.

Previously, he has held various leadership roles at KPMG, including as a member of its global executive team; chairman of the Americas region; deputy US chairman; managing partner of Washington, DC operations; and global head of risk management and regulatory.
