Wealth manager and stockbroker, Killik & Co’s CIO Paul Kavanagh is set to leave the firm by the end of this year together with two other directors, Kareem Khouri and John Prior, to launch a new firm.

The move follows a strategy review at the firm that will see Killik cut the size of its derivative futures business.

Killik is instead seeking enhanced focus on its core broking, investment management and wealth planning businesses.

The trio has a combined total of 55 years of experience at the firm, where they were responsible for the derivatives division.

The planned business will primarily focus on the derivatives market.
