Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) has expanded its international presence by opening a office in Singapore to increase returns and expand investment networks.

The new office will manage assets locally and concentrate on deal-sourcing and creating networks in Southeast Asia, India and Oceania.

The sovereign wealth fund of South Korea also intends to use the new office enable co-investment with global institutional investors and asset managers.

Apart from Singapore, Korea Investment Corporation also has presence in New York and London.

Established in 2005, KIC manages funds of Korean government, public and Bank of Korea. It manages $122bn in assets.
