The move is part of Jupiter’s plan to expand its presence outside of the UK market under the guidance of new CEO Maarten Slendebroek.

Previously, Harris had worked at Kames Capital for around five years. Before that, he served as global head of investor relations and capital raising at CQS London.

Simon Hynes, global head of distribution at Jupiter, said: "Historically our institutional distribution efforts have been focused on the UK but, as with mutual funds, our ambitions are global.

"We are delighted that someone of Harris’ caliber has joined Jupiter to drive these efforts."
