Jupiter has appointed Kathryn Langridge as new co-manager of Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities Fund replacing Elena Shaftan, who will retire later this year.

Langridge will work alongside Colin Croft to manage the fund.

Shaftan, who has joined the firm in 2000, has managed the £214 million Jupiter Emerging European Opportunities fund, and the £18 million Jupiter New Europe funds alongside Croft, who was the co-manager on both portfolios since 2008.

Additionally, Langridge and Croft will manage the fund’s flexible investment approach by focusing on stock and wider economic trends.

Langridge, with 30 years experience in emerging markets, has been managing the £22 million Global Emerging Markets Fund from the time of its launch in 2010.
