Bonzon, who will also become a member of the bank’s Executive Board, will report to Julius Baer CEO Boris Collardi.

Julius Baer said that the new division has been designed to complement its existing Investment Solutions Group (ISG), which is led by Burkhard Varnholt. Varnholt and Yves Bonzon will be Co-CIOs for the new unit.

Prior to joining Julius Baer, Bonzon held several roles at Pictet in Geneva including equity partner, group managing director and chief investment officer of the wealth management division responsible for over 100 investment professionals and also chaired Pictet’s investment committee.

He joined Pictet in Geneva in 1989 following a traineeship in wealth management and corporate banking at UBS.
