Bank Julius Baer has named Barend Fruithof as new region head for Switzerland, effective 1 October 2015.
Fruithof, who will succeed Giovanni Flury, will also join the bank’s executive board. He will be responsible for managing Julius Baer’s global custody business.

Fruithof is joining Julius Baer from Credit Suisse, where he was most head corporate clients from 2008 and member of the private banking & wealth management committee from 2011.
Prior to that, he worked as CFO and member of the executive board of the Raiffeisen Group and also worked for eight years at Zürcher Kantonalbank.
