Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has appointed John Dagher as head of Lebanon office effective from 1 January 2014.
In his new role, Dagher will be responsible for developing and expanding Julius Baer’s franchise in Lebanon and the Levant region.

Based in Beirut, Dagher will report to Fred Hilal, head of Middle East domestic.
Dagher has more than 30 years of experience in advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations.
Currently, Dagher serves as managing director and senior advisor in Julius Baer’s Dubai office, heading a team that covers the Levant region. Prior to that, he developed Merrill Lynch’s operations in Lebanon and the GCC area.
Commenting on the appointment, Hilal said: "I am very pleased that Dagher will assume the position as head of Julius Baer’s office in Lebanon. With his vast experience and his extensive network in the region, he is best positioned to extend our presence in Lebanon and the Levant region."
