JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Nicholas Roberts, a former North Investment Partners executive, as a portfolio manager on its Fusion fund of funds range.

Reporting to lead fund manager Tony Lanning, Roberts will assist in portfolio management responsibilities.
Lanning joined from Henderson Global Investors earlier this year to head the Fusion range, which launched in March 2013 and brings together the investment expertise from the firm’s investment management and private bank arms. It consists of five risk graded funds of funds.
Roberts joins from North Investment Partners where he had portfolio management responsibilities for seven multi-manager funds and a range of risk graded model portfolios. Previously, Roberts was a multi-manager analyst at Gartmore and head of fund research at Williams de Broë.
Lanning said: "Nick’s extensive qualitative and quantitative research background in fund selection and his ability to communicate the value of the multi-manager investment proposition will further enhance the team."
