Janus Capital International has appointed Alan Glendon, former Premier Asset Management head of UK discretionary sales, as its new sales director for the EMEA region.

Based in London, Glendon will report directly to Janus UK and EMEA COO Nigel Austin. He will lead the firm’s push into the UK financial institutions market.
Earlier to the appointment and his tenure at Premier, Glendon was sales director at F&C Asset Management and worked at Investec Asset Management.
Austin said: "Alan has a tremendous amount of industry knowledge and experience gained through senior roles at some of the most respected companies in the sector.
"He is a very welcome addition to our UK team and demonstrates our commitment to developing further our business in the UK."
