BlackRock’s ETF platform iShares has appointed Tom Fekete, a former Barclays Wealth executive, as head of product development in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In his new role, Fekete will be responsible for driving the expansion of iShares’ EMEA product range. Based in London, Fekete will report to head of iShares EMEA, Joe Linhares.

At Barclays Wealth, Fekete was the EMEA head of investment products and global head of foreign exchange advisory. He held the position for four years.
Previously, Fekete also headed the structured solutions team at UBS, preceding his promotion to lead the products and services distribution arm of the Swiss bank.
Linhares said: "Tom brings with him considerable industry knowledge and skill, paired with vast experience delivering solutions to a diverse range of clients.
"He joins the firm at a time when the exchange-traded products industry, and the adoption of these products, is growing significantly in Europe, with users including IFAs, insurance companies and pension funds."
