South African bank Investec has launched private banking services in Birmingham for professionals, entrepreneurs and HNW clients.

The bank has named business development manager Mike Kelly to spearhead the initiative, according to Birmingham Post.

In his new role, Kelly will collaborate with the Birmingham-based corporate treasury team Liz Law and Charlotte Begley

The treasury team will provide foreign exchange, commodity and cash solutions to mid corporate businesses in the region.

Prior to joining Investec Bank, Kelly worked for eight years with Yorkshire Bank and 28 years with West Bromwich Building Society.

Kelly said: "In addition to our investment management services we are now able to offer specialist lending, including mortgages, for entrepreneurs, professionals and high net worth clients as well as deposit solutions and a wide range of currency services," he added.
