Investec Asset Management has opened an office in Italy to support the firm’s expansion across Europe in both the institutional and adviser channel.
The office will be headed by Marco Orsi who will work alongside Italian sales manager Sarah Pastore to focus on Italian market. Orsi has also been appointed as Italian sales director for the group.

Investec AM said that the Italian office will begin its B2B focus in areas such as funds of funds management and unit linked products. The firm has already registered 10 products and strategies in Italy.
"This choice will allow us to speed up the process and start being active earlier than if started with institutional and retail clients. However, we do not exclude anyone and we will go on to targeting institutional and retail clients later on," investmenteurope.net quoted Orsi as saying.
Recently, Investec Asset Management joined the partnership programme of the Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers (FEIFA).
