Invesco has hired Jalil Rasheed as investment director with the aim of strengthening its Asian investment capabilities.
In his new role, Rasheed will be based in Singapore and will head a team covering the ASEAN markets. He will be supported by two investment analysts, and will report to Paul Chan, chief investment officer, Asia ex-Japan.

The Singapore-based team will be an integral part of the firm’s Asia ex-Japan investment team, which is based in Hong Kong and provides portfolio and research support for the ASEAN markets.
Prior to joining Invesco, Rasheed was with Aberdeen Asset Management, covering emerging markets with a focus on the ASEAN markets, and worked in the UK, Singapore and Malaysia.
