ING Investment Management has named Hiroshi Kimura as the CEO of its Japan business.

Kimura will succeed Douglas Hymas, who left the firm to serve as general manager for BNY Mellon’s Tokyo unit.

Kimura, who has over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, most recently worked as managing director of client relations and communications as well as a board member at US investment group AllianceBernstein.

Apart from this, he earlier served at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Rothschild Asset Management and Taiheiyo Asset Management in leadership roles.
