Information Publishing, a UK-based provider of corporate actions data to the back offices of stockbrokers and banks, has acquired CapitalTrack, a data provider of floating rate information to the fixed income market.

The deal adds to Information Publishing’s three other financial data focused investments: Exchange Data International, FinData Portal and African Financial & Economic Data.

CapitalTrack maintains large independent, on-line Repository of static and event-based operational data in the floating and variable rate space.

The repository maintains documents for more than 80,000 live unique ISINs, and collects / supplies an average of 3,200 coupon re-sets / corporate actions a month for interest and redemption payments.

Even after the acquisition, CapitalTrack’s management, led by Jane Quinn, will remain unchanged.

Information Publishing CFO Michael Kaufman said: “We are pleased to welcome the CapitalTrack clients, suppliers and team into the Information Publishing PLC family, and to be adding their first-class database – covering Floating Rate, Asset Backed and Structured Securities markets – to our expanding range of financial reference data products. This is the first of several acquisitions that we will be making to add to our datasets.”
