Zurich-based wealth management companies Infidar Investment Advisory and WMPartners Wealth Management (WMPartners) have now been merged following the takeover of WMPartners by the Julius Baer Group.

The merger was first announced in November 2013. The newly formed entity will have 50 employees and over CHF 4 billion in client assets held at around 30 different custodian banks.

The consolidated company will trade under the name of WMPartners Vermögensverwaltungs.

The teams from the two companies have been combined and now share the same workspace at the existing Infidar premises in Zurich.

Yves Robert-Charrue, head of independent asset managers and global custody at Bank Julius Baer, said: "I am very happy that the transaction has been concluded as planned. We intend to continue playing an active role in the consolidation of these independent wealth managers."
