HSBC Private Bank has rehired Benjamin Pedley to be their new regional head of investment strategy in Asia.
Pedley previously left HSBC last December and returned to Australia for personal reasons.
In his new role Pedley will deliver investment strategies to clients in the North and South East Asia regions.

The focus of his role will be to research new ideas and turn them into compelling concepts based upon HSBC’s increasing use of thematic linked investments.
Speaking about the new appointment Oliver Pacton regional head of private bank investment group said: "Ben Pedley’s appointment is part of our ongoing strategy to develop the capabilities and visibility of our investment group and to bring experienced professionals to our business. We want to ensure we continue to deliver compelling ideas to clients across Asia."
Prior to working at HSBC in December Pedley worked for LGT Bank in Hong Kong and Singapore where he was regional head of advisory services.
