HSBC Holdings has named Heidi Miller as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 September 2014.

In addition, Miller will also serve as a member of the Group Risk Committee and the Conduct & Values Committee.

Subject to re-election by shareholders, Miller will serve as a director for an initial three-year period and his tenure will expire at the end of the 2018 annual general meeting.

Prior to joining HSBC, Heidi served as president of international at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from 2010 to 2012, managing the bank’s global divisions including the investment bank, asset management, and treasury & securities services divisions. She also managed the Treasury & Securities Services division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. for six years.

Previously, Heidi held several roles including executive vice president and CFO of Bank One Corporation, senior executive vice president of Priceline.com and executive vice president and CFO of Citigroup.
